Making dreams come true! Thats what it’s all about.

And pardon the pun but ‘of all the gin joints in all the towns in the world’ I was fortunate to be able help Liz Beech get hers off the ground.

Liz, a chef by trade, had a dream to make her own gin.

On a family trip to Scotland, Liz’s daughter booked her into a gin making masterclass where she fell in love with the idea of making gin.

She then decided to attend Moonshine University in Kentucky where she gained Diplomas in distilling, botanicals, bourbon, whiskey and rum.

“I went to this masterclass, and I fell in love with the idea of making gin.” Liz told me. (use as a quote over an image)

Liz’s story is unique but her need for financial help to get her business off the ground is not. To get her distillery up and running, she needed a Gin Still and to get a Gin Still she needed finance.

And that’s where I came in.

I was able to help Liz finance her most valuable employee; a copper pot still from Louisville USA, which she has affectionately dubbed ‘Eliza Jane’.

She’s now founded her distillery, Here’s Looking At You, Kid in Melbourne where she produces a Wild Rose Gin using a unique blend of native Australian botanicals. She also produces a Triple Distilled Vodka and a Barrel Aged Vodka using ex-bourbon barrels. At the moment, she is stocking a Christmas gin inspired by the Aussie favourite; pavlova.

It’s a great outcome and helping Liz find the right finance for her business was a real pleasure.
